Dedham Village by Helen Morgans

The Dedham Art Society upholds the spirit of the Dedham village and its neighbouring villages with landscapes much loved by the ground-breaking artist John Constable.

The Dedham Art Society (DAS) operates under a wider concept to include artists from all over Essex and Suffolk. The society is made up of professional and amateur artists of all abilities and levels. Enjoyment of painting and the other arts continues to motivate the Society.

Dedham Art Society Annual Programme

Throughout the year, we meet regularly to get together and paint, host workshops and demonstrations as well as organise sessions with visiting professional artist/tutors. We meet every two weeks on a Thursday afternoon at The Assembly Rooms in Dedham from 2.00-4.30pm and in summer we endeavour to paint outside at interesting locations.

Annual Exhibitions

The society aims to hold an annual exhibition. Exhibitors must be paid up members of the society, exhibit their own work and are required to assist with stewarding if exhibiting.

DAS Trophy Winners

The DAS Trophy is awarded for the most popular painting at our Summer exhibition.
